SPCL is setting up a 1320 MW Super Critical coal Fired Thermal Power Plant in Western Coast of India, with additional capacity of 1320 MW during next Phase after acquiring sufficient coal concessions to feed its power plant. This office is spearheading acquisition of coal assets in Indonesia to produce around 250 MMT coal to meet the captive requirement of its power plant in India.

Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent has to take care of entire Representative Office in the absence Chief Rep. and co-ordinate between SPCL Head office in Mumbai and Jakarta.

Other expected key roles are :

•  To assist Chief Representative in Public Relations o Follow-up meetings and liaison with Coal Concession Owners and Govt. authorities o lobbying with Indonesian Coal Concession owners
•  to promote company’s business prospects
• Executive secretarial activities pertaining to expats living in and travelling to Jakarta o travelling, boarding & lodging arrangement in Indonesia 
•  General Administration & executive role
•  Records of Official Correspondence, tracking renewal of licences and lease agreements, payment of service dues, etc,
•  Assisting in official affairs such as fixing meeting, drafting Minutes of the meeting, interpretation (if required) o Interpretation of documents written in Indonesian language 
•  Submission of Documents drafted in English after translation into Official language o Tracking Industry current affairs and news to advice Management
•  Tracking coal properties available for buy out/JV on the local Internet sites
•  Handling Petty cash and Banking Transactions

The position offers tremendous growth opportunities to establish and grow with the organization as we are contemplating to foray into acquisition of sizeable coal asset to produce and export 4-5 million tons of coal from Indonesia by 2013-14. The incumbent has to play a key role in acquisition of suitable coal asset to India’s one of the oldest and well reputed company having annual Turnover around USD 650 millions. In addition to it’s own group companies, SPCL is the single largest shareholder of TATA.
